Dr. Eduardo Jesus Arismendi-Pardi
Candidate Statement
As President, I would bring
experience to enhance MANA’s core values in relation to advocacy,
leadership, community service, and education. The issues that I consider most
important include:
 |
Empowerment of Latinas through educational opportunities and advancement
|
 |
Educating elected and/or appointed officials on issues affecting the lives of
Latinas, |
 |
Promoting social and political responsibility,
|
 |
Promoting and sustaining leadership development through communication skills in
both Spanish and English, |
 |
Developing and sustaining existing mentoring programs, events, and conferences
for young Latinas to acquire the soft and technical
skills necessary to be successful leaders and innovators,
|
 |
Educating parents and families on health issues, K-12 education, and access to
higher education, |
 |
Encouraging Latinas to pursue studies, and careers, in STEMM fields (science,
technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine).
|
I believe that Education is the
key to economic development and economic recovery. MANA de Orange County
provides an effective voice on behalf of all Latinas, and is committed to
developing the future leaders of our community, state, and country. I am
dedicated to supporting and promoting our impact at the local, state and
national levels.
I ask for your vote and support so
that I may serve you in representing our interests as MANA de Orange County.
