MANA is a national Latina organization that was founded in 1974 as the Mexican-American Women’s National

Association.  MANA’s founding intent was to provide a voice for Mexican-American women at the national, state and

local levels.

Since then, this strong and unique organization has expanded into a diverse group of Latinas who hold key roles in a variety of political, social and professional fields, making MANA the most influential pan-Latina organization in the United States.

MANA de Orange County was chartered October 10, 1981.  It is one of the oldest chapters in the nation, with over a

hundred members comprised of homemakers, students, prominent political figures, and Latinas in diverse fields and

professions.

The dynamic members of MANA reach out to educate, embrace, support and grow

the Orange County Latino community
