MANA is a national Latina organization that was founded in 1974 as the Mexican-American Women’s National Association. MANA’s founding intent was to provide a voice for Mexican-American women at the national, state and local levels. Since then, this strong and unique organization has expanded into a diverse group of Latinas who hold key roles in a variety of political, social and professional fields, making MANA the most influential pan-Latina organization in the United States.
MANA de Orange County was chartered October 10, 1981. It is one of the oldest chapters in the nation, with over a hundred members comprised of homemakers, students, prominent political figures, and Latinas in diverse fields and professions.
